FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR FIRST PHYSIO SESSION?

A physiotherapist will ask you questions & take a subjective history of your background - medical/ relevant history.

An objective assessment will then be the next step. The length/ quality of the assessment can vary in nature.

Treatment can come in many forms with the final goal to get you moving better & pain-free.

The next step is to reinforce the treatment through stabilization exercises, usage of modalities, stretching and taping.

And voila! That is your first physiotherapy session.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

We recommend you by wearing comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that will allow us to easily see the skin, joints and muscles around your injury.

CAN I CLAIM MY PHYSIOTHERAPHY SESSION?

Most insurance companies cover Physiotherapy, however, we recommend you check with your provider for clarification. We do not do direct billing; our clinic will email you a soft copy invoice for claiming purposes.

DO I NEED A DOCTOR'S REFERRAL LETTER?

Usually for claiming purpose, yes, the insurance companies do require an official letter from a doctor (GP/ Specialists).

Otherwise, it is not a requirement if you have condition that is musculoskeletal. We can assess and treat without a doctor's referral letter unless that is a condition that requires a specialist's input after assessment.

WILL I BE ABLE TO RESCHEDULE OR CANCEL MY SESSION?

If you need to change or cancel your appointment, do give us at least 24 hours' notice. That way we can give the slot to patients who are on the waiting list.

Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your appointment. Patients who are late for appointments would be seen at the clinic's discretion and may be required to reschedule.
